The access of all visitors to the famous Dracula’s fortress on the Transfagarasan road has been banned, starting today, Arges county Council informed.
The reason for the closure of the Poenari fortress to tourists is that the electric fence was broken by a bear. Or by several bears, nobody knows precisely. The electric fence was installed in 2019 to protect tourists from possible attacks by bears, which are plentiful in the area.
