Zaventem International Airport, Bruxelles, Belgium, March 16, 2022. Tarom flight 374 takes off smoothly (as smoothly as almost all Tarom flights do) from runway 07L, heading to Bucharest.
Onboard the aircraft, several VIPs (including Romanian Minister of Defense Vasile Dâncu and former PM Mihai Tudose) and a delegation of Romanian journalists returning home after a visit in Bruxelles.
Before the aircraft reaches the assigned cruising altitude, one of the journalists began to suffer a severe panic attack. His fellow work comrades tried to help him, but without significant improvement.
At this point, senior flight attendant Martha Dropol entered her role. She talked to the ill passenger, trying to calm him down, provided him a pill against air sickness, than offered him a place in the front of the aircraft (where business class seats are located). As a consequence, the passenger condition began to improve.
Short said, during all the flight, Mrs Dropol kept on eye on the passenger and made sure he arrived safe – as well as the other passengers onboard – in Bucharest International Airport. In today’s aviation industry is quite hard to find such devotion to a simple economy class passenger. The exquisite service provided by Mrs Dropol not only to our fellow journalist, but to everyone onboard, is to be commended.
Specially considering the message Mrs Dropol sent to the journalists who have written that story:
„… The credit goes to the passengers and our instructors! We are nothing without you, our passengers. Many thanks for flying with us, even during this difficult time for the company. I love you and I hug you all!”, Mrs Dropol says.
