The new generation (the 3-rd one) of the only hatchback Romanian manufacturer produces, Dacia Sandero, will appear soon on the roads across the Europe.
The small hatchback will be about 13 cm larger than the current version, so the total length of the care will increase from 407 cm to 420. It means, among other things, more space for Sandero’s passengers.
But it will mean also more luggage space, making Sandero to have one of the largest trunk in its class: about 400 liters (320 for now).
The new Dacia Sandero will be built sharing the same technical platform like its „cousin”, Renault Clio (named CMF-B), and will offer some safety features not available until now, such as automatic emergency brake system, electronic brake distribution (EBD) and pedestrian recognition system.
The quality of materials used in the interior will make a significant step forward and the soundproofing will do the same, French journalists from autoplus.fr say.
Engines will remain the same, for the instance: 1000 cmc and 75 HP, 900 cmc turbo and 90 „horses”, but is very likely Dacia will offer also the new 1,3 liters turbo TCe, offering 130 and 150 HP.
All these engines, powered by petrol, but also LPG and ethanol (E85) conversions are available, as well as for other Dacia models.
It is to be believed that a diesel will also be available. Most probably, the classic 1,5 liters Blue DCi.
According to Italian website motori.it, prices in Western Europe will be a little higher: between 11.000 and 20.000 euros. But Dacia offers more quality in exchange for the extra money asked.
