French-Romanian educational platform APEX Scientific is organizing an international Chemistry camp for high school students in Bucharest. The camp will take place this summer, between July 20th and August 9th.
APEX Scientific, a Romanian-French non-profit cooperation in the field of advanced education in Mathematics and Chemistry, proposes a three-week intensive camp for those interested in the study of Chemistry, during which students will familiarize themselves with the ABC of scientific research in the field.
Daniel Funeriu, former Romanian Minister of Education, graduate of the University of Strasbourg, France, PhD in chemistry and researcher, will speak to the students.

The students will have the privilege of hearing lectures by renowned experts in Chemistry. These include Jean-Marie Lehn (shown in the picture above), winner of the 1987 Nobel Prize for Chemistry, Ivan Huc (professor at a university in Munich), Adrian Șalic (professor at Harvard Medical School, USA), Niculina Hădade (Babeș-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca), Mihaela Matache (University of Bucharest) and Mihaela Florea (National Institute for Materials Physics, Bucharest).
In order to be admitted to this high-level Chemistry camp, high school students must pass a test. The test and the application form can be downloaded here (English language). Foreign students are also welcome to submit their applications.
The cost of the camp is €1,500 per person. Accommodation is provided in a student hostel belonging to the University of Bucharest.
